Functionalization of Polyethylene by Grafting
Hofmann, Jan ; Figalla, Silvestr (referee) ; Petrůj, Jaroslav (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with functionalization of polyethylene by grafting. The theoretical part summarizes informations about types of copolymers, free radical grafting techniques and the factors, that affect properties of modified polymers as well as their biodegradability. The experimental part deals with modification of polyethylene in kneader under various conditions. The blends are composed of polyethylene, polylactic acid and another aditives (initiator, stabilizers). The torque and the temperature were monitored during the kneading. Some mechanical properties of new materials were tested on Zwick Z010 apparatus. Rheological properties of samples were investigated with melt flow indexes.
Technology of emulsion polymerization
Chadima, David ; Arvai, Tomáš (referee) ; Kučera, František (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the influence of technological parameters on the emulsion copolymerization of methyl methacrylate with n butyl acrylate. The theoretical part contains knowledge in the field of influences of proces tempereture, concentration of initiator, concentration of emulsifier, stirring rate and dose rate on emulsion polymerization. In the experimental part was observed effect of the concentration of the ionic emulsifier, nonionic emulsifier, furthemore was observed effect of stirring speed and the concentration of initiator K2S2O8 on conversion of copolymerization. During all copolymerizations, conversions was determinated via solids content evaluation. By dynamic light scattering was determinated and presented polymer particle size of the prepared emulsions. Stability of emuldions was observed via effect of different ionic strenght and yield of freeze thaw cycles coalescence. Based on experimental results were proposed conditions of polyacrylic lattex preparation.
Effect of initiation on bulk polymerization of styrene
Vojáček, Jakub ; Běťák, Lukáš (referee) ; Kučera, František (advisor)
Bachelor thesis summarizes in the literature part findings on field of the radical initiation of styrene bulk polymerization. Especially polymerization using mono- and bifunctional initiators, further fotoinitiation and thermal initiation of styrene polymerization. The practical part is focused on monitoring the effects of polymerization conditions on monomer conversion, molecular weight, density and viscosity of the prepolymers. Experiments were performed with monofunctional initiator (dibenzoylperoxide), at atmospheric pressure, with polymerization temperature 91 °C, and various concentrations of initiator. Determination of monomer conversion was carried out gravimetrically, the density was determined by titration method and viscosity using the Stokes equation. Molecular weights were then calculated using Kuhn-Mark-Houwink-Sakurad equation.
FPGA Implementation of RMAP Initiator and Target
Walletzký, Ondřej ; Fujcik, Lukáš (referee) ; Dvořák, Vojtěch (advisor)
The thesis deals with design and implementation of controllers for the RMAP protocol, which is used by SpaceWire network endpoints to access memory contents of another endpoint. The theoretical research introduces concepts of the SpaceWire network, then describes the RMAP protocol and the AMBA AHB bus interface in detail. The practical part of this thesis then uses this information to design and implement controllers for the RMAP protocol. It first defines an architecture of these controllers, then describes design of individual blocks based on this architecture. As a next step, the thesis describes methods used to verify designed controllers and to test these controllers in an FPGA chip. Finally, an analysis of maximum frequency and usage of FPGA resources is done based on estimates provided by the synthesis tool.
Process performance improvement
Večeřa, Michal ; Musil, Martin (referee) ; Fiala, Alois (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with preparation of quality management system for certification according to the standard ISO/TS 16949:2009. In the theoretical part of the thesis a various concepts of quality management system are described as well as certification process of ISO/TS 16949:2009. The last theoretical chapter is dedicated to the auditing of quality management system. The practical part is focused to the analyse of the current quality management system as well as performing of internal audits of quality management system. The last chapter is focused on evaluation of effectiveness of internal audits and realization of the first phase of certification audit according to the ISO/TS 16949:2009.
Homophobic bullying at school - the perspective of the agressor and the victim
Šerák, Viktor ; Smetáčková, Irena (advisor) ; Kadlecová, Eva (referee)
Homophobic bullying at school - the perspective of the agressor and the victim. The goal of this paper was to identify, which factors are relevant in the way of experiencing the homophobic bullying by its protagonists and how they percieve interactions associated with it. Also examined were related questions including among others infuence of homophobic bullying on class norms and the opposite infuence of class norms on homophobic bullying. I am exploring this topic from the point of view of social psychology, educational psychology and gender issue. I specifically look into the issues of class unit and norms that are prevailing iside this unit, followed up by bullying which is a part of homophobic bullying and by homophobia itself.
